What kind of scrapbooking is fun? I mean really.

It’s hardcore. It requires agility, beer, endurance, a keen eye for photography, acid free mats, rubber cement, and the fortitude to carry on when every female in the Western Hemisphere thinks you are a complete bottom-feeder.

It’s like restoring a 1966 K-Code Mustang fastback in the nude, only with stickers and glitter.

What is the value of scrap brass per pound?

Can anyone tell me what the value of scrap bronze is? I have 15lbs of bronze cut offs that I want to get rid of. Is there a website that shows the value of this metal by the pound. I have tried to search google, but there isn’t any good information that I can find that isn’t at least 2 years old.

Recycling centers will offer you .60 cents/pound. But if you shop around you can find $1.50/pound.

I want to give my mom a startup kit so she can start scrapbooking. Just wanna get some ideas on the best stuff to include to get her started.

My daughter bought me a startup kit when she learned I wanted to start scrapbooking. It was sold as a kit, and had everything needed to make an album, the album, page protectors, cardstock and paper in different colors and patterns, stickers, alphabets, other emblishments, plus a booklet with suggestions and instructions. Some come with glue and scissors, too.

Those kits come in many different styles and price ranges, and I think would be great for you to get her, since you don’t know what is needed, just like my daughter. And, it’s cheaper to buy a kit than each thing individually, trying to color coordinate it all.

What’s the best way to scrapbook newspaper articles without them getting ruined?

I have four years worth of newspaper articles for very succesful basketball and football seasons (much more newspaper articles than your average team…). I’m trying to put them in a scrapbook or memory book for Christmas, but I don’t want to ruin the articles or make them look messy. What’s the best way to go about doing this?
Also, obviously, the quickest & easiest way to get it done, and does anyone have any layout ideas for sports pictures, admissions tickets, rosters, field passes, articles, etc.?

I would scan the articles and upload them to CropMom and then use the CropMom website to create scrapbook layouts. Is Casco water based hobby glue safe for scrapbooking?

you basically answered your own question
your glue is water based, and should therefor be safe for scrapbooking. the glues that are not safe contain acid. in itself the glue is safe to use ofcourse, but in days to come it will damage your pages and wont last. which would be a shame as you probably put some work in and want to save them for ‘the next generation’?

All you need to do is find where the buyers are at and then contact a customs broker.
